B2M Madpaintball Brunei 2 Miri 2008

Frequently Asked Questions
1. I have never played paintball before. What are the rules and what should I not do ?

All new players or newbies would be identified on the day and you would presented with a briefing and safety demo. The marshalls or referees will tell you what to do and what not to do and the game rules. Most important is NEVER take your mask off until you are outside the paintball field.

2. What does the game fee of B$180 include & Is that fee per person or per team ?
This is the game fee & registration fee PER TEAM. Each team consists of 3 persons hence it would be B$60 per person. This covers the marker (gun) rental, mask or goggle rental, & other safety gear such as ‘body protection’ for the day & of course Co2 gas for the marker. This cost also includes some of the prizes that we would be providing for winners & lucky draws. In addition to this each player will get a free madpaintball t-shirt or mug. Entry to the 1 man tournament is free for those who are joining the 3 man team tournament. You would not be charged for any gas refills. Prizes and trophies are provided for both the 3 man tournament & the 1 man tournament. It is all part of the package.
3. Is the game fee refundable ? What if one of my players drop out ?
No, the game fee is non-refundable. If one of your players drop out, you would need to quickly find a replacement. Otherwise, you would play with one less player on the field. No extra lives provided.
4. How much are paintballs ?
Paintballs (Proto) are sold separately at RM300 per box of 2000 paintballs. This can be shared amongst the team or friends ie. 3 or 6 players. Generally, players would be using between 500 – 1000 paintballs depending on how you play. 3 man team games mean faster games and should mean less paintball usage.
5. Do I need to bring my own marker (gun) ?
No, only house or site markers are allowed. You may bring your own googles etc. Personal electronic hoppers may be used.
6. What are the sponsors providing ?
Our sponsors are currently providing us with promotional material such as banners, free paintball DVDs for players, stickers & some of the smaller prizes for winners & also a few lucky draw prizes (mainly T-shirts). Our sponsors are also sponsoring the trophies and medals for the winners of the 3 man team tournament and 1 man team tournament. At time of writing, a sports drinks company would also be providing free drinks on the day on top of prizes. If we have any new sponsors, we would make further announcements. IF any of our sponsors do provide us with big prizes like markers, masks, 1st class tickets to USA, you would definitely read us up in the newspapers. Till then, just cross your fingers and pray….
7. What should I wear ?
Some players are kitted with paintball gear such as paintball pants & jerseys. You can purchase these on the day. You could wear a mechanics overall including the BSP white ones (not orange as the paintballs would also be orange) . Otherwise a loose baggy tshirt should suffice & some comfortable loose pants.
The paintballs are biodegradeable and washable.
8. What time is the tournament held ?
Registration should begin at 0730hrs, and the first games should start at 0830hrs. The tournament should finish by 1630hrs, followed by a prize presentation & photo sessions.
9. Where is to be held ?

We are expecting a minimum of 30 players i.e. 10 teams from both Brunei and Malaysia.
13. What game format are we playing on the day ?

a. For the 3 man team tournament, we would doing a round robin FOLLOWED by a FINALS for the TWO TOP SCORING TEAMS. We expect each team to be able to play at least 8 games on the day.

b. For the 1 man tournament, there will be a random pick/draw on who plays who first & this is a knock-out event. The player that wins 2 games against his/her opponent, goes on to the next level until there is only one winner left.
